“We were told no available funds for special elections”

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Philippines —Inilapit ni Elroy John “Clink” Hagedorn, anak ng namayapang Palawan 3rd District Representative Edward S. Hagedorn, ang funding issues ng special election ng Ikatlong Distrito ng lalawigan kay Senadora Imee Marcos nitong nakalipas na Miyerkoles, Pebrero 7.

Sa Facebook post, inihayag ni Hagedorn na lumapit siya sa senadora upang humingi ng ‘assistance’ ukol sa funding issues ng special elections ng nabanggit na distrito.

“I came to the Senate to meet Madam Senator Imee Marcos to ask for assistance in resolving funding issues for special elections in the third district of Palawan because we were told that there are no available funds for special elections as the national budget have been passed,” pahayag ni Hagedorn.

Ani Hagedorn, nakipagpulong siya sa senadora kasama ang ilang Palaweños. Ito rin aniya ang kaparehong araw kung saan tinupok ng apoy ang mga kabahayan ng kaniyang ‘fellow Princesans ‘ sa Quito area nitong madaling araw ng Miyerkoles.

Dagdag ni Hagedorn, ang pagpupulong ay in-arrange ng kapartido at kaibigan ng kaniyang ama na si dating Brodkaster Vic Badaguas

Si Badaguas din aniya ang naging daan matapos in-endorse ng NPC party si dating Puerto Princesa Mayor Ed Hagedorn bilang alkalde ng lungsod noong taong 1992.

Nakipagkuwentuhan din siya kay Senate Majority floor leader Joel Villanueva kung saan ibinahagi nito ang nangyaring sunog sa Barangay Bagong Silang at Pagkakaisa. Aniya, nangako naman na tutulong si Villanueva sa mga biktima ng sunog.

“At the opening of the session Senator Villanueva mentioned Dad’s name, and during the break the Honorable Senator Imee Marcos came to us, our venue became the plenary. I mentioned how Dad would often speak of her and the Marcos family, I mentioned the fire and she committed to help the victims, she immediately informed her staff to make the necessary arrangements,” dagdag nito.

Ayon pa kay Hagedorn, lumapit din sa kaniya sina Senadora Cynthia Villar, Senador Robin Padilla, Senate President Migz Zubiri, Sen. JV Ejercito, at Sen. Loren Legarda, na kung saan nangako na tutulong sa mga biktima ng sunog sa Puerto Princesa.

Ibinahagi rin ni Clink Hagedorn na kung buhay pa ang kaniyang amang si Cong. Ed Hagedorn naroon na umano ito sa lugar upang magbigay ng tulong sa mga biktima.

“He will make sure that his presence was felt to calm and comfort the victims, it is his nature, that is who he is.

But he will not show up with microphones walking around announcing to people. I don’t think I myself will ever get close to who he was,” kuwento ni Hagedorn.
