PUERTO PRINCESA CITY – Pumanaw na ang dating Sangguniang Bayan Member ng bayan ng Roxas, Palawan, na si Elena Madarcos Padul sa edad na siyamnapu’t isang (91) taong gulang nitong nakalipas na Huwebes, Disyembre 28. Si Padul ay nagsilbing kagawad ng bayan mula taong 2001 hanggang taong 2010.
Sa Facebook post, ibinahagi ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Roxas ang pagpanaw ng dating konsehal at retired elementary teacher na si Elena Padul.
“Philippine Flag is flying at half-mast at the Municipal Hall grounds as we mourn the passing of our former colleague and esteemed Sangguniang Bayan Member Elena M. Padul this morning, who dedicated many years of service to our local government from 2001 – 2010.
She was also a retired elementary teacher and former President of the church’ Lectors and Commentators Guild. She passed away at the age of 91.
This symbolic gesture honors and remembers her invaluable contributions and serves as a mark of our respect and mourning during this difficult time,” pahayag ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Roxas.
Dagdag dito, nakikiramay ang nasabing lokal na pamahalaan sa mga naiwang pamilya ng dating konsehal.
