PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — Itinanghal na grand champion sa vocal duet competition ang dalawang mag-aaral ng Palawan State University (PalSU) na sina Jamil Garados at Mc Hillmerson Trinidad sa ika-7th Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) Culture and the Arts Festival 2023 na ginanap sa lalawigan ng Occidental Mindoro nitong araw ng Martes, Oktubre 17.
“[The two] captivated the judges and the audience with their extraordinary rendition of a Ballad/RnB singing the original piece of Lyka Estrella, “Hawak Mo”. Their harmonious voices, precise timing, and emotional delivery set them apart from the other talented contestants”, pagbabalita ng The Tumbler, ang school publication ng Mindoro State University Main Campus.
Ayon sa panayam ng pahayagan kay Trinidad, “chemistry, balanced blending, teamwork, and trust in each other” umano ang naging advantage ng dalawa kaya nasungkit ng mga ito ang gold medal.
“I think our advantage over the other competitors was our chemistry and the balance in our blending, which is a significant factor in the scoring because it holds a high percentage of the total score. Additionally, our teamwork and trust in each other were essential advantages, and I believe that’s why we were able to win the gold,” pahayag ni Trinidad.
Samantala, nasungkit ng Romblon State University (RSU) ang unang puwesto habang nasa ikalawang puwesto naman ang University of Rizal System.
Ang dalawa ay mula sa College of Teacher Education ng nabanggit na pamantasan.
