Housing project para sa mga OFWs, inilunsad sa Puerto Princesa

IPINAKILALA na sa publiko ang La Marchea, isang modern eco village sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa. Ang 16 hectares housing project ay itatayo sa Purok Anonang, Dimalanta Road, Barangay Sicsican.

Ito ay kinapapalooban ng 1,000 residential units kung saan ang pangunahing target ay ang mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Ayon kay Punong Lungsod Lucilo Bayron, malapit sa kanyang puso ang mga housing project dahil isa ito sa kanyang unang ipinanukalang proyekto nang maupo sa city government.

“Ang project niyo ay housing. Housing is very near to my heart because when I started working with the city government — the first project of the city is housing project,” ani Bayron.

Aniya sa naging imbentaryo ng lokal na pamahalaan mahigit 50% ng mga naninirahan sa lungsod ay pawang mga informal settlers.

Dahil dito, bumili ng 22 ektaryang lupain ang city government sa bahagi ng barangay Irawan para sa Pambansang Pabahay Program.

Sa hiwalay na panayam kay Chairman Noe Indonto, ang La Marchea ay isang agricultural neighborhood. Aniya, ito ay inspired sa Gintong Butil experience kaya maglalagay sila sa lugar ng mga bahay kubo garden, botanika herbal garden, at lagoon.

“This is an environment friendly residential subdivision. All the needs of the residents can be addressed by the commercial area,” ani Indonto.

Nagpasalamat naman ito sa City Government sa pagbibigay ng mga kaukulang permit para sa paggulong ng proyekto.

Ayon pa kay Indonto, sa unang kwarter sa susunod na taon sisimulan na ang konstruksyon ng La Marchea.

“Right now we just have clear the site and by first quarter next year we should be able to start full blast our development. This is in barangay Sicsican almost 16 hectare property for 1,000 housing unit but were doing it by cluster. Now were developing cluster 1 and this is only 296 units to start with,” paliwanag pa nito.

Target naman na matapos ang proyekto sa taong 2027.
