‘Pagpaquiman cay Atorni’ legal aid caravan, isinagawa sa San Rafael

ISINAGAWA ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Palawan Chapter sa pakikipagtulungan ng Pamahalaang Panlungsod at Philippine Councilor’s League – Puerto Princesa Chapter ang legal aid caravan sa San Rafael Mini City Hall nitong araw ng Sabado, ika-9 ng Setyembre 2023.

Layunin ng programa na bigyang libreng payong legal, libreng notaryo sa mga dokumentong legal gaya ng ‘Affidavit of Solo Parents’, pagtama sa maling ‘entries’ sa mga birth certificates, at iba pa, kung saan ay animnapung mga indibidwal ang nabenepisyuhan partikular na ang mga solo parents at mga kababaihan.

“The roll out of the program served not less than 60 residents from the Northeastern barangays, who were given free legal advice and documentation of correction of entries in their birth certificates, late registration and legitimation of birth. Affidavits of solo parents, who were supposedly scheduled to travel to the City proper, were also notarized for free,” pahayag ng grupo.

Ayon pa sa ulat, ang kaganapan ay dinaluhan ng mga opisyales ng organisasyon sa pangunguna nina Atty. Susanne C. Lacson, Atty. Patrick Tan, Atty Queen Harra Sheigila Pantanosas, Atty. Glaiza Kaye Vicente – Moncatar, Atty. Nesba Bacuteng, Atty. Joemar Caluna, Atty. Marivic Adia-Bungay, Legal Aid Committee Chair Atty. Emilia Concepcion Severino; dating pangulo ng organisasyon na si Atty. Richalex Jagmis, Atty. Nixon Ramirez, Atty David Jaranilla, Atty. John Mark Caralipio, at Atty. Henrick Guingoyon.

Naroon din sa legal aid caravan sina City Administrator Atty. Arnel Pedrosa at City Legal Officer Atty. Norman Yap, Atty. Rhodel Magrata, Atty. Mikhail Larios, Deputy Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Mary Joy Ordaneza-Cascara, Atty Christine Aribon, Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Atty Ana Pia Lagan-Sebido, at Atty. Twinkle Rodriguez-Redondo ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Kasama rin sa legal aid caravan ang mga law students ng Palawan State University (PSU) School of Law bilang suporta sa selebrasyon ng National Law month.
Kaugnay rito, ang programang ‘Pagpaquiman Cay Atorni’ ay gaganapin din sa mga Barangay ng Macarascas, Napsan, at Luzviminda sa mga susunod na araw ng Sabado ngayong buwan.
