PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — Lumagda sa Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sina Palawan Governor Victorino Dennis M. Socrates ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan at Medical Chief II Dr. Noel V. Reyes ng National Center for Mental Health (NCHM) na ginanap sa pamamagitan ng online virtual platform sa Provincial Economic & Enterprise Development Office (PEEDO) Conference Room nitong Nobyembre 20.
Ang kasunduan ay kaugnay umano sa programa na “Sugpuin ang Iligal Na Droga: Palaweño’y Aasenso, Susulong sa Progreso-Community Aftercare and Reintegration Enhancement for Sustainability (SPS-CARES)”.
Ang National Center for Mental Health ang nangungunang mental health facility na pinamamahalaan ng Department of Health (DOH) at ito rin ay isang Special Research Training Center sa bansa.
Ang kasunduan ay magbibigay-daan sa mabuting samahan sa pagitan ng Provincial Government at NCMH na naglalayong bigyang kaalaman at kakayahan ang mga kawani ng programa sa pamamagitan ng technical assistance at pagsasagawa ng mga pagsasanay pati na rin ang pagtugon sa pangangailangang medikal ng mga kliyente nito lalo na ang mga Persons Who Use Drugs (PWUDs) with comorbidities sa lalawigan para sa epektibong pagsusulong ng Community Based Drug Rehabilitation Program o CBDRP.
Pinasalamatan ni Socrates at SPS CARES-PADAP Program Director Eduardo Modesto V. Rodriguez ang pakikipagtulungan ng NMCH sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan gayundin sa mga kaalaman na maibabahagi nito upang mas maging epektibo ang pagsusulong ng mga layunin at pagbibigay serbisyo sa Palawan.
“We are so blessed to have a collaboration with the National Center for Mental Health because we are expecting NCMH will capacitate the Provincial Government through the SPS CARES, not only in capacitating the employees and persons of SPS CARES but also our PWUDs Community in the Province of Palawan.
We do hope and pray, with the conduct of trainers training by cascading the program related to mental health issues, we will truly address whatever mental issues and problems that we face in the province of Palawan… Sa ngalan po ng aming Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates, we look forward for the stronger ties with the National Center for Mental Health,” ani Rodriguez.
Samantala, lumagda rin sa kaganapan si Rodriguez saksi ang mga kawani ng nasabing programa, tanggapan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan, at mga doktor sa panig ng nasabing ospital.
