DAHIL sa nararanasang matinding init ng panahon, pansamantalang sinuspende ng Palawan State University o PSU ang pagsusuot ng kanilang official uniform.
Batay sa ipinababang advisory ng Office of the University President, simula ngayong araw ng Martes, Abril 2, 2024 pansamantalang hindi i-rerequire ang mga estudyante at mga personnel na magsuot ng official uniform ng unibersidad.
Ang suspensyong ito ay ipatutupad sa loob ng isang buwan na magtatapos sa Abril 30, 2024.
“From April 2, 2024 to April 30, 2024. All employees across PSU campuses are advised to attire themselves in a manner that is both comfortable and suitable, adhering to the stipulations set forth in CSC Memorandum No. 19. S. 2000. In parallel, students are urged to opt for attire that is comfortable and aligns with the prevailing dress code, barring official uniforms,” ang nilalaman ng advisory.
Samantala, ngayong araw inaasahang 42 degree celsius ang mararamdamang init ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). Ang mararanasang init ng panahon ay maaaring magdulot ng heat cramps, heat exhaustion, at heat stroke.
Kaugnay nito patuloy ang paalala ng Gabay Pangkalusugan ng Puerto Princesa City na palagiang uminom ng tubig para hindi madehydrate at magsuot ng mga presko at maluluwang na damit.
