PINASINAYAAN na sa Puerto Princesa City ang Satellite Materials Testing Laboratory ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DWPH) MIMAROPA.

Ito ay pinangunahan ni Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III at OIC-Assistant Regional Director Gene Ryan A. Altea.

Batay sa impormasyon mula sa DPWH MIMAROPA Region, ito ay dinaluhan din ng iba’t ibang opisyales ng ahensya na kinabibilangan nina Construction Division Chief, Engr. Dominic G. Sa inagurasyon, binigyang-diin ni RD Panacan ang kahalagahan ng ganitong pasilidad upang matiyak ang kalidad ng mga gagamiting materyales sa mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura alinsunod sa mandato sa kanilang departamento.

“We are the primary infrastructure arm of the government tasked to maintain the highest quality of infrastructure. Establishing this satellite materials testing laboratory is one step in achieving that mandate,” ayon kay RD Panacan.

“The most important about implementing the projects is not only seeing to it that we implement it according to standards but making sure that materials being incorporated are within the standards,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.

Makakatulong ang testing laboratory na ito upang mapabilis ang pagsusuri sa mga materyales na gagamitin sa iba’t ibang proyekto partikular sa mga malalayong lugar tulad ng lalawigan ng Palawan.

Tinuran naman ni OIC-Assistant RD Altea malaki ang maitutulong sa ekonomiya ng rehiyon ng scientific exploration at technological advancement ng naturang pasilidad.

“We stand at the forefront of a new era of scientific exploration and technological advancement. This facility will not only enhance our understanding of materials but also pave the way for improved infrastructure, sustainable development, and economic growth in our region,” ani Altea.
