Ikinadismaya ng mga local designers, handlers, at reigning queens ang anila’y maling trato sa kanila ng bagong organizers at staff ng Mutya ng Palawan 2024.
“Konting respeto [rin] sana sa mga designers at handlers ng Palawan! Para kaming mga kriminal [kung tratuhin]!!!,” pahayag ng isa sa mga handlers.
Sa Facebook post, ibinahagi rin ni Mutya ng Palawan South 2023 Thalia Abdulkahal ang kaniyang sa hindi pagpayag ng mga organizers at staff na suotin ng mga reigning queens ang kani-kanilang sashes at korona sa halip sinabihan pa ang isa sa mga ito na “you are departing queens, not the highlights of this show tonight”.
“For those who are curios why we [the reigning queens] are not wearing our crowns and sashes earlier. It’s because they (the new organization) did not allow us to wear it.
Our farewell walk was supposed to be one of the best moments during our reign but we never got a chance to do it. Katulad niyo, we ate also looking forward for our last moment as reigning queens.
But unluckily, that moment moment was stolen from us. Things happened, because it’s meant to happen. But still, we are thankful for all the love and support if everyone!,” pahayag ni Mutya ng Palawan ‘23 Thalia Abdulkahal.
