Hinihiling si Gobernadora Amy R. Alvarez na maglabas ng isang Executive Order na bubuo ng El Niño Task Force.

Ang El Niño Task Force ay magpaplano, magsusubaybay, at magpapatupad ng mga naangkop na aksyon sa nararanasan ng El Nino sa Palawan.

Para ito sa kahandaan, pagtugon, at pagpapagaan sa magiging resulta nito. “The creation of a specialized ‘El Niño Task Force’ will institutionalize a coordinated, multi-sectoral approach to strengthen preparedness, response, and mitigation measures, ensuring that the province is equipped to address the adverse impacts of El Niño on farmers, fisherfolk, rural communities, and the general public,” ayon kay Board Member Rafael Ortega Jr. na nag-sponsor ng hiling sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Palawan.

“The El Niño phenomenon, characterized by prolonged dry spells, reduced rainfall, and water scarcity, poses significant threats to agriculture, food security, public health, and the over-all socio-economic stability of the Province of Palawan,” dagdag pa ng bokal.

Ilan sa pangungunahan ng El Niño Task Force ay ang pag-manage ng mga tubig, suporta sa agrikultura, mga kampanyang magbibigay ng impormasyon sa publiko, at inter-agency collaboration; kung maisasakatuparan.
