PINASINAYAAN nitong ika-3 ng Oktubre sa Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ang ‘newly-constructed’ Naval Air Operating Squadron (NAOS) – West building sa pangunguna ni Vice Admiral Alberto Carlos PN, Commander ng Western Command (WESCOM).
“The new NAOS-West building, a significant milestone in NAW’s history, serves as a tribute to both past and present naval aviators who have played an integral role in bringing the visionary project to life” ani Commodre Juario Marayag PN Command ng NAW habang ipinapahayag ang kanyang taus-pusong pasasalamat sa bawat naval aviator na nakiisa para sa proyekto.
“NAW is also immensely grateful for Vice Admiral Carlos’ leadership and support that provided direction and guidance towards the project’s realization”, dagdag pa ng Commodore.
Ang inagurasyon ng gusali ay tugma umano sa pagdiriwang ng NAW sa ika-76 taong anibersaryo nito.
Dumalo si Commodore Alan Javier PN, Commander ng Naval Forces West, naval aviators, at mga opisyal na kasalukuyang nakatalaga sa WESCOM, at lahat ng aircrew na kasalukuyang naka-deploy sa WESCOM joint operations area, bilang suporta sa inagurasyon ng gusali.
Ayon naman kay Philippine Navy Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., matagumpay na pagkumpleto ng kapaki-pakinabang na gawaing ito na magsisilbi umanong bagong tahanan para sa lahat ng miyembro ng NAW na naka-deploy sa WESCOM joint operations area.
“This brand new sea eagles’ nest in the west will serve as NAW’s base from which it will carry out its crucial role in support to WESCOM’s mandate – to defend our sovereign rights and sovereignty, and uphold our territorial integrity in the country’s western frontier”, ayon kay Vice Admiral Carlos.
