PUERTO PRINCESA CITY – Pasok ang Palawan sa “Trending Destination in the World” ng Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Award Best of the Best Destinations.
Sa inilabas nitong listahan, nakuha ng Palawan ang ikaapat na puwesto.
Ayon sa Tripadvisor, ang naturang award ay para sa mga destinasyon na ang mga hotels, restaurants, at iba pa, ay nakatanggap ng “high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions” mula sa komunidad sa loob ng labindalawang buwan o isang taon.
“Fewer than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 billion listings are awarded Best of the Best, signifying the highest level of excellence in travel,” ayon pa sa Tripadvisor.
Inilarawan nito ang lalawigan bilang “a slice of heaven, a silver of an island that teems with exotic wildlife, quaint fishing villages, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Wave hello to endangered animals at the Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary or explore the Japanese shipwrecks of Coron Island, regarded as one of the best dive sites in the world. A guided boat tour of the Puerto Princesa Underground River will take your breath away”.
Nakuha naman ng Tokyo ang unang puwesto, sinundan ng Seoul, Halong Bay, Palawan Island, Sapa, Bogota, Pattaya, Alajuela, Phnom Penh at Kuala Lumpur.
