BREAKING NEWS | Pansamantalang isasara sa publiko ang Talakaigan River sa Barangay Cabigaan, bayan ng Aborlan, Palawan, alinsunod sa Executive Order No. 24 series of 2024 na pirmado ni Punong Bayan Jaime M. Ortega nitong Mayo 13.
Ayon sa kautusan, ipinagbabawal sa publiko ang papasok sa nasasakupan ng Talakaigan River. Ito ay bigay-daan para sa isasagawang water system rehabilitation project na pangungunahan ng USAID Safe Water.
“A major component of the water system rehabilitation project is the installation of water pipes directly above the swimming area of Talakaigan River. The presence of visitors/picnickers/swimmers in the restricted zone is extremely risky,” nilalaman ng kautusan.
Ayon pa rito, awtorisadong pumasok lamang sa lugar ang mga miyembro ng Barangay Cabigaan Council, USAID personnel, contractors at mga tauhan, at National Irrigation Administration (NIA) personnel.
