Magsasagawa ng Central Philippines Tourism Expo (CPTEx) 2024 ang Department of Tourism (DOT) na may temang “The Center for Philippines Tourism Sustainability and Conservation”.
Ngayong taon, ang ikalawang CPTEx kung saan ang lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ang napiling pagdausan nito.
Sa isinagawang press conference kahapon, sinabi ni Department of Tourism (DOT) Assistant Regional Director Gladys Quesea, ito ay tatlong araw na aktibidad na isasagawa sa SM City Puerto Princesa sa darating na July 19 hanggang ika-21 ng nasabing buwan.
Aniya, ang CPTEx ay isang collaborative efforts ng DOT Central Philippines Regional Offices kabilang ang Calabarzon (IV-A), Mimaropa (IV-B)- Bicol (Region V)- Western Visayas ( Region Vl), Central Visayas (Region Vll) at Eastern Visayas (Region Vlll) na layuning ipakilala ang iba’t ibang kultura, mga destinasyon at iba pang tourism assets ng bawat rehiyon.
Dagdag pa rito, ang pagkakaroon ng connectivity sa mga lokal at banyagang turista sa ibang rehiyon sa Pilipinas.
“Yung three days po na ito, [mayroon] po tayong iba’t ibang activities, we invite the stakeholders to present their tourism products on stage then we have sustainability resource speakers. Punung-puno po yung ating three days na yun.
[Mayroon] din po tayong business to business matching session na gagawin po sa Best Western Hotel. Marami po tayong tour operators nationwide. All the DOT Regional Offices from North, Central, Visayas and Mindanao will be coming over with their tour operators po,” ani Quesea.
Katuwang din sa aktibidad ang Palawan Provincial Government, Puerto Princesa City Government, Palawan Tourism Council, Provincial at City Tourism Office.
Sa opening ceremony sa ika-19 ng Hulyo inaasahang darating si DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco.
