ANG Megaworld, isang real estate development company sa Pilipinas ay magtatayo ng isang beachside residential condo sa bayan ng San Vicente, Palawan.
Sa press conference, sinabi ni Megaworld Vice President for Public Relations and Media Affairs Harold C. Geronimo ang konstruksyon nito ay sisimulan sa buwan ng Pebrero sa susunod na taon at inaasahang matatapos sa taong 2028.
Aniya, sa apat na taong konstruksyon hanggang sa maging operational ito prayoridad nilang mabigyan ng trabaho ang mga lokal na residente sa San Vicente. Tiniyak din nito na eco-friendly ang kanilang proyekto.
“Nandito kami sa Palawan particularly sa San Vicente — ang goal namin — is to create an ecotourism community that will enrich and enhance the land that you have but not to destroy your biodiversity.”
“We will build around of what you have, of course there will be areas that we need to build on, there will be coconut trees that will be cut down but those coconut trees that will be cut down– we will planting endemic trees of Palawan. Megaworld remains committed in sustainable ecotourism community in San Vicente and that commitment remain until the time that we will have completed the entire development, we’re very conscious as a company,” ani Geronimo.
Ito ay itatayo sa nasasakupan ng 462 hectares Paragua Coastown, ang ‘ecotourism’ township sa San Vicente.
Sa kasalukuyan nasa 83 hectares pa lamang ang nadedelop sa lugar at 52% nito ay nakalaan bilang nature-reserved at open spaces.
“Sa 83 hectares na ‘yan more than 50% ay dedicated on nature reserves and open spaces hindi po kami magde-develop d’yan. In fact, part ng master plan na ‘yan ay maglalagay kami ng mangrove reserve park because there is an existing mangrove park there and we will preserve that to become a part of ecotourism community,”dagdag pa ni Geronimo.
Ayon naman kay Javier Romeo Abustan, Head of Sales and Marketing ng Megaworld Palawan, ang 10-storey project na ito ay tatawaging Oceanfront Premier Residences na mayroong 189 ‘smart home’ units na may iba’t ibang laki mula sa studio with balcony (32 square meters) hanggang two bedroom premiere suite with balcony (105.5 square meters).
Ilan lamang sa amenities nito ang infinity pool, meditation area, game room, co-working space, function room, fitness area at iba pa.
“For the target market, basically we are looking into people who wants a retirement home in Palawan, p’wedeng vacation home o rental property so it can be people from all over the world, Manila o Palawan,” ani Abustan.
