Ayusin ang hindi tuloy-tuloy na telecommunications services sa Cuyo, Magsaysay, Agutaya, Dumaran, at Araceli. Bigyan din ng multa ang mga mapapatunayang lumalabag sa batas o panuntunan sa tamang pagbibigay ng serbisyo.

Ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) ay hinihikayat upang magsagawa ng pag-aaral o “comprehensive performance and service quality audit” sa Smart Communications, Inc. at Globe Telecom, Inc. sa mga naturang lugar pagdating sa kalidad ng kanilang performance at serbisyo.

Ayon kay Board Member Winston G. Arzaga: “The Provincial Government of Palawan believes that commercial viability cannot be invoked as a reason to deny or diminish essential telecommunications services to geographically isolated communities, particularly when such services are indispensable to public safety and economic development”.

Maging ang Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Palawan ay aminadong may mga natatanggap ng reklamo sa kalidad ng telecommunications services sa mga naturang munisipyo.

“The Sanggguniang Panlalawigan [ng Palawan] recognizes that the NTC, as the national regulatory authority for telecommunications, has the responsibility to ensure that telecommunications operators comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, service standards and the conditions governing their authority to operate,” ani ni Arzaga.

Ayon pa kay Arzaga, dapat hindi payagan na naglalabas lamang ang mga telecommunication companies ng paliwanag na walang konkretong plano sa pagresolba, kapag may mga reklamo silang natatanggap mula sa mga apektadong mamamayan.

Kailangan ng maayos na telecommunications services lalo na ng mga mag-aaral, negosyo, mangingisda at mga nagtatrabaho sa dagat, health workers, senior citizens, turista, government personnel, at iba pang ordinaryong residente.

“The Municipalities of Cuyo, Magsaysay, Agutaya, Dumaran, and Araceli are integral communities of the Province of Palawan whose geographical isolation must never be used as a justification for inferior, unreliable or inadequate telecommunications service,” ani ni Arzaga.
