Palaweñong batang mathematician, pinararangalan

Binabati at pinararangalan ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Palawan si Raymund Kristobal Arroyo Acosta, isang Grade-10 na mag-aaral ng Salve Regina School.
Noong Setyembre 1, naging epektibo ang isang resolusyon sa Junta Palawan ukol dito.
Nasungkit ni Acosta ang Bronze Medal sa Asia International Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO) 2026 sa Hanoi, Vietnam, mula Agosto 1 hanggang Agosto 5. Kasama at tinalo ni Acosta ang iba pang 1,300 na kalahok mula sa 19 na mga bansa at teritoryo.
“Despite competing against approximately 1,300 participants representing nineteen (19) countries and territories, Raymund Kristobal Arroyo Acosta successfully demonstrated remarkable mathematical knowledge, competence, determination, and composure, culminating in his achievement of the Bronze Medal in the 2026 AIMO Finals,” ani ni Board Member Cherry Pie Acosta.
“Raymund Kristobal Arroyo Acosta’s achievements brings distinction and pride not only to Salve Regina School of Palawan, Inc. and Puerto Princesa City, but likewise to the Province of Palawan and the Philippines, demonstrating the capacity of young Palawenos to excel and compete successfully on the international academic stage,” ayon din kay Acosta na author ng aprubadong resolusyon na naglalaman ng pagkilala kay batang Acosta sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Palawan.
Ang nakamit na tagumpay ni Acosta rin ay lumilinang sa reputasyon ng Palawan sa edukasyon at academic excellence. Inspirasyon din ito sa iba pang kabataang Palaweño na gumaling din sa Mathematics, Science, Education, at iba pang “intellectual disciplines”.
“His Bronze Medal achievement is a testament to his hardwork, dedication, perseverance, intellectual discipline, and excellence in mathematics, reflecting not only his individual capabilities but also the support and guidance provided by his school, teachers, coaches, and family,” ayon din sa resolusyon ni Acosta na kasabay na inakdaan ng iba pang board members ng junta Palawan.
Iimbitahan din si Acosta sa kapitolyo para pormal na maparangalan.
